Industry Veteran Mike Berthet To Represent BAP In The UK
The Global Aquaculture Alliance’s Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) division is proud to announce that it has expanded its market development team with the addition of Mike Berthet as BAP’s market development manager for the United Kingdom.
Berthet remains active within M&J Seafood/Fresh Direct Group. A qualified chef with 30-plus years of seafood experience, Berthet represents M&J Seafood on sustainability issues and ensures that the company’s passion and commitment to responsibly sourced seafood is maintained.
As BAP’s market development manager-foodservice for the UK, Berthet will work with Peter Redmond, BAP’s VP of market development, to build and expand relationships with the foodservice industry in the UK and expand awareness into new sectors of the marketplace on behalf of BAP, the world’s leading third-party certification program for aquaculture facilities, with nearly 1,000 certified processing plants, farms, hatcheries and feed mills worldwide.
Berthet is also a member of the GAA board of directors.
