Global Seafood Alliance Welcomes Libby Woodhatch and Jeremy Woodrow to Board of Directors

The Global Seafood Alliance (GSA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Libby Woodhatch, Executive Chair of MarinTrust, and Jeremy Woodrow, Executive Director of the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute (ASMI), to its Board of Directors.
Woodhatch brings more than two decades of experience in the seafood supply chain and standards development. As Executive Chair of MarinTrust, she leads one of the world’s leading certification programs for marine ingredients. Prior to this role, she has served as Head of Advocacy at Seafish, CEO of Seafood Scotland, and held leadership roles focused on responsible fishing and seafood ethics.
Woodrow serves as Executive Director of ASMI, where he leads global marketing efforts to promote the value and sustainability of Alaska seafood. Since joining ASMI in 2017, he has played a key role in advancing the organization’s mission to strengthen markets for Alaska’s seafood industry and support coastal communities.

“We are thrilled to welcome Libby and Jeremy to the GSA Board of Directors,” said GSA CEO Mike Kocsis. “Both bring deep expertise and leadership across critical areas of the seafood value chain—from responsible sourcing and certification to global marketing and market development.”
Woodhatch and Woodrow join a diverse group of industry leaders guiding GSA’s mission to advance environmentally and socially responsible seafood practices through advocacy, education, and demonstration.
“I’m genuinely delighted to join the GSA Board of Directors,” said Libby Woodhatch. “MarinTrust and GSA already share a strong partnership through our longstanding Memorandum of Understanding, which reflects our shared commitment to responsible seafood. Through my work with MarinTrust, I’ve seen firsthand how collaboration and credible assurance programmes can drive meaningful progress across our industry. Stepping into this role with GSA further strengthens that cooperation, and I look forward to working alongside such dedicated colleagues to advance responsible practices across the global seafood sector.”
“It’s an honor to join the incredibly experienced and diverse GSA Board of Directors,” said Jeremy Woodrow. “I look forward to collaborating with industry leaders to further GSA’s mission and expand consumer confidence in responsibly sourced seafood.”
