Kicking off U.S. National Seafood Month with #ShareTheSea!

Help SeaShare fight hunger with seafood and donate on October 16

seashareOctober is the Global Aquaculture Alliance’s favorite time of the year: autumn colors, Halloween candy swirling around the office, and, of course, National Seafood Month! A month to celebrate the seafood industry and educate consumers on the benefits of eating sustainable fish. This year, GAA invites everyone to #ShareTheSea and join us in giving to SeaShare on October 16th.

SeaShare is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping connect industry to hunger-relief efforts in the United States. Those struggling with food insecurity face the burden of not only getting enough to eat, but also accessing nutrient-rich foods like seafood. The National Fisheries Institute’s Future Leaders Class of 2019 teamed up with SeaShare to support their fight against hunger and deliver healthy protein to those in need.

seashare share the seaThe Future Leaders Class of 2019, including Best Aquaculture Practices’ Corporate Responsibility Manager Avery Siciliano, is encouraging the seafood industry and associated organizations to consider donating product, services, or money on October 16th, SeaShare’s National Day of Giving. Donations help those served by food banks and feeding centers across the country. Help us reach our goal of $20,000 and donate today: https://www.seashare.org/donate/nfi2019
