FishChoice’s mission is to partner with the leading sustainable seafood organizations to create a comprehensive picture for businesses to better understand the environmental impact of their seafood. FishChoice’s platform connects retail, restaurant and institutional seafood buyers to suppliers of sustainable seafood products.

Through collaboration with non-profit organizations and industry leaders, FishChoice’s platform fosters networking opportunities to make commercial procurement of sustainable seafood products easier and offers up-to-date information to educate the industry and expand the outreach and effectiveness of the sustainable seafood movement.

Since its inception in 2008, FishChoice has amassed a sustainable seafood directory of more than 3,700 product listings from more than 400 suppliers. Suppliers that carry BAP-certified shrimp can become a FishChoice Supplier Member for free to promote their products to an audience of more than 4,000 seafood professionals.

“We are very excited to be working with the Global Aquaculture Alliance and BAP-certified shrimp farms,” said Rich Boot, president and founder of “These farms represent a movement toward more sustainable practices and help provide a more complete resource for easily sourcing sustainable seafood products.”
