New Tracks, New Topics, New Format: The Responsible Seafood Summit 2026 Agenda Is Here

With four months to go until Responsible Seafood Summit attendees descend on Bangkok for the 25th installment of the global seafood conference, the Global Seafood Alliance team is busy securing final speakers and event details.

Given this year’s partnership with The Center for Responsible Seafood and its Shrimp Summit, we’ve expanded the conference program to provide attendees more content value for their registration.

AGENDA

Monday, September 21 | Day 1: Setting the Stage

The Responsible Seafood Summit kicks off on Monday after a networking lunch onsite at the conference headquarters, the Shangri-La. Plenary presentations include thought provoking words from top global seafood CEOs including Tam Nguyen of Vinh Hoan. We’ll also explore timely topics including climate change and global volatility in the seafood space. Later in the afternoon we’ll transition to focus on presentations by seafood and sustainability leaders who drive impact globally but have local roots, including presentations from Thai Union executives. Day 1 plenary sessions will go through the afternoon right up until an evening Welcome Reception outside along the river.

Tuesday, September 22 | Day 2: Big Ideas, Bold Conversations

Tuesday offers attendees a full day of plenary content where big ideas are explored and challenges and solutions discussed. Topics to be presented on stage include findings and analysis of the conference’s annual production survey data, a session dedicated to feed, a dynamic conversation around Fisheries Improvement Projects (FIPs) using a local lens, a session on a species that’s popular in region but has global reach – tilapia, an animal health and welfare session offering real insights into how investing in this area is good for business, and an audience favorite we’ve expanded given previous post conference survey feedback – a session on markets and consumers.

Zooming in >> This year’s markets and consumers session will offer purchase data, consumer preference data, an exploration of the sustainable seafood movement in East Asia, powerful information on how to diversify markets in a turbulent time, and insights into the US tariff landscape and what to expect given the current chaos. With leading marketplace representatives providing their own perspectives, the audience will also learn from organizations including GlobeScan, Circana, Seafood Legacy, and the National Fisheries Institute in this session.

Tuesday plenary content ends with the Responsible Seafood Innovation Awards where finalists in aquaculture and wild fisheries categories will present their innovations and the audience will decide the winners live. Day 2 wraps up with another networking reception – more details to be announced soon.

Wednesday, September 23 | Day 3: Go Deep

This day gives choice to a global seafood audience with Deep Dives – something new for 2026! The program offers four separate tracks that will run throughout the day in three two-hour blocks. Attendees can choose to stick with one track or move throughout tracks during the day. With many topics to cover across the responsible seafood space, we encourage attending teams to divide and conquer!

Deep Dive tracks and topics include:

Aquaculture – social responsibility, animal health and welfare, and feed

Wild Fisheries – FIPs, tuna, and fisheries certification

All Seafood – digital technology, markets and consumers, and 100% utilization

Shrimp – global production and markets, breeding and disease management, growout intensification, digital technology, improver programs, shrimp welfare, and waste to value

Thursday, September 24 | Day 4: Take It Outside

On Thursday we take the conference on the road. Attendees can choose to participate in optional industry field trips.

*When the official conference program is published there will be designations connecting plenary sessions/topics to the Deep Dive offerings.

*The schedule and program are subject to change as planning progresses. Stay tuned for more program announcements and check the Agenda tab on the Summit page for updates as they become available.
